This policy explains what personal data DateReminder collects, why, and your rights. We use your data only to run the service and never sell it.

Data we collect
Your email address, and the dates you add (a title, day and month, and an optional first year). We also store your timezone and language preference so reminders arrive correctly, and — if you connect Telegram — the identifier of your Telegram chat with our bot.
Why we use it
Solely to provide the service: to send your reminders and the optional weekly digest on the channels you chose (email and/or Telegram), and to let you sign in and manage your dates. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Telegram notifications
If you enable the optional Telegram channel, your reminders are delivered through the Telegram platform. This means your chat identifier and the content of each reminder (the title you entered and the anniversary count) are transmitted to Telegram, whose own privacy policy applies to messages within its apps. You can disconnect Telegram in your profile at any time — we then delete the stored chat identifier and deliveries stop.
Legal basis
We process your data to perform the service you signed up for (contract) and based on our legitimate interest in operating and securing it.
Cookies
We use only functional cookies: one to remember your language choice and a session cookie for sign-in and security (CSRF). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Analytics
We measure aggregate, anonymous usage (such as page views) with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that sets no cookies and does not collect personal data. It helps us improve the service and is never used to identify you or sold.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Closing your account blocks access immediately, but your data is kept for 30 more days in case you change your mind — you can restore your account during that time using the link we send you or by contacting us. After 30 days, your account, dates and reminders are permanently and irreversibly deleted.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

We may update this policy; the current version and its revision date are always shown on this page.
